About Me

Dr. Kehinde Kemi Rebecca is a Nigerian academic and Lecturer in the Department of Languages and Linguistics at Anchor University, Lagos. She holds a PhD in African Literature with interest in gender studies, postcolonial trauma and feminist theory.

During her fellowship at the ARUA Centre of Excellence in Notions of Identity, she will be conducting research on "The interplay of Postcolonial Trauma, Gendered Violence and the constructions of New Femininities in Post-conflict African Societies". Her work will explore how the legacies of colonialism and conflict shape women’s identity and social roles, and how they respond to and resist patriarchal structures. Her project aims to contribute to the broader discourse on identity, resilience and social transformation in Africa.
