Animashaun, Elizabeth Modupe is a Ph.D candidate with the Institute of Peace, Security and Humanitarian Studies, University of Ibadan Nigeria. She is working on completing her thesis titled ‘Commercial Sex Worker and Gender Based Violence in Selected Communities along Nigeria-Benin Republic Border Corridor’. Animashaun’s research interest includes gender-based violence, females’ vulnerability in volatile communities, sexuality and the border space, intersections of human trafficking for sexual and domestic reasons, and sexual migrations. Animashaun’s work touches on issues of identity and how it intersects with violence in volatile communities
Animashaun is a recipient of a couple of grants and fellowships and awards.
