Dr. Tlale Nathane (PhD) is a qualified social worker and Lecturer in the department of Social Work Faculty of Humanities – University of the Witwatersrand. She holds a Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Social Work from Wits University. Tlale is involved in several research collaboration on fatherhood, families, father absence and academic experiences. She is a member of the National DSD Task Team on the development of Supervision Framework for Social Services Profession. She is the Executive Committee member and Secretary of ASASWEI – (Association of South African School of Social Work Education Institution). Tlale is one of the co-authors of a newly published book by HSRC titled Black Academic Voices: The South African Experience.
