Nicolette Roman

Professor Nicolette has a PhD in Psychology and rated as an Established Researcher. She currently holds the position of a South African Research Chair in the Development of Human Capabilities and Social Cohesion through the Family in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of Children, Families and Society, at the University of the Western Cape. She is also the PI for developing the niche area of Early Childhood Development at the University of the Western Cape.

Eunice Kamaara

Eunice Kamaara is a professor of Religion at Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya, and International Affiliate of Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis (US). She holds MPhil in Religion, MSc. in International Health Research Ethics, and PhD in African Christian Ethics. Her three-in-one public role involves teaching/training, research, and community service.

Eddy Joshua Walakira

Eddy Joshua Walakira, PhD – is an Associate Professor of Social Work focusing on children and youth studies. He lectures at Makerere University and he is also a visiting professor at the university of Gotgenburg Sweden school of social work. He is a specialist on issues of child and youth protection and development; including programming for their wellbeing and that of the family. He currently serves as the head of Department of social work, and serves on many high level committees, boards of organisations, and technical working groups in his area of speciality

Tlale Nathane

Dr. Tlale Nathane (PhD) is a qualified social worker and Lecturer in the department of Social Work Faculty of Humanities – University of the Witwatersrand. She holds a Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Social Work from Wits University. Tlale is involved in several research collaboration on fatherhood, families, father absence and academic experiences. She is a member of the National DSD Task Team on the development of Supervision Framework for Social Services Profession.

Sharon Adetutu Omotoso

Dr Sharon Adetutu Omotoso (PhD) is Senior Research Fellow on Gender Studies/Cultural & Media Studies Programs at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan. She heads the Institute’s Women’s Research and Documentation Centre (WORDOC).  Her areas of research interest include: Applied Ethics, Media & Gender Studies, Political Communications, Philosophy of Education, Socio-Political Philosophy, and African Philosophy in which she has published significantly.

Florence Ebila

Dr. Florence Ebila (Phd) teaches in the School of Women and Gender Studies, Makerere University.  She holds a PhD in African Languages and Literature from the University of Wisconsin, Madison- USA.  Her research interest is in gender, cultural and conflict studies.  She has done a lot of research on the representation of gender in African women’s autobiographies especially political autobiographies and autobiographies of women in conflict situations.  Her current research is investigating the relationship between autobiography and history.

Mutiat Titilope Oladejo

Dr Mutiat Titilope Oladejo – University of Ibadan - is a lecturer in the Department of History, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She is a fellow of American Council of Learned Societies and the author Ibadan Market Women and Politics, 1900-1995 (2015) and The Women Went Radical: Petition Writing and Colonial State in Southwest Nigeria, 1900-1953 (2019).

Josephine Mukabera

Dr. Josephine Mukabera is holding a PhD in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies from Seoul National University/ South Korea, an MA degree in Development Studies from Kimmage Development Studies Centre in Ireland. She has a work experience of 11 years teaching in higher learning institutions. She did research and wrote articles related to Women Status and Gender Relations in the Post-Genocide against Tutsi in Rwanda.

Sarah N. Ssali

Sarah Ssali (PhD) is the Associate Prof/Dean, School of Women and Gender Studies, Social Scientist with a PhD in International Health Studies.

Her areas of focus include Health systems in post conflict settings, HIV and AIDS, Identities, Institutions, Social Transformation, Policy and Politics, all undertaken in multi-disciplinary and multi-country consortia, giving her the necessary experience to manage the proposed project.
