Early Career Researchers

Dan Ndosimana

Ndosimana Dan is Rwandan by birth. He is a PhD student at University of Rwanda. He is a church leader of a local Church in Rwanda. Dan holds a master’s degree of Arts in development studies from Bugema University, Uganda and a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Social Sciences. He received professional on teaching in higher learning institutions and has taught at secondary School level.  He has also participated in several trainings on empowering poor families and promoting youth talents. In addition to English, Dan is also proficient in French.

André Lewaks

André Lewaks is a South African that is working at Saldanha Bay Municipality as a Senior Official: Public Participation and Ward Committees. He has over 19 years proven experience in social work, project management and coordination, community development experience, advocacy, policy design and policy education experience.

Animashaun, Elizabeth Modupe

Animashaun, Elizabeth Modupe is a Ph.D candidate with the Institute of Peace, Security and Humanitarian Studies, University of Ibadan Nigeria. She is working on completing her thesis titled ‘Commercial Sex Worker and Gender Based Violence in Selected Communities along Nigeria-Benin Republic Border Corridor’. Animashaun’s research interest includes gender-based violence, females’ vulnerability in volatile communities, sexuality and the border space, intersections of human trafficking for sexual and domestic reasons, and sexual migrations.

Proscovia Nalwadda

Proscovia Nalwadda (MSc. Counseling Psychology) is also a PhD student in East African School of Higher Education Studies and Development (EASHESD, CEES), Makerere University and an Executive Director Child Care And Youth Empowerment Foundation (CCAYEF). She is currently engaged and passionate about becoming a pragmatist researcher in the field of Education and Social sciences and has already published papers on gender-based operational Research.

Dr. Moses Mutua Mutiso

Dr. Moses Mutua Mutiso is a resourceful, committed and results orientated Lecturer, Research and Development and Academic Professional with over 10 Years extensive higher education experience and a consistent record of success within academia and research.  Dr Moses is a Holder of Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology Degree at Moi University Kenya. He is a lecturer at the department of Sociology, Psychology and Anthropology at Moi University.

Juliana Kantengwa

Juliana Kantengwa is a PhD student, University of Rwanda She holds M. Soc. Sc. Gender & Development from the University of Rwanda., Msc. Veterinary Pathology & Microbiology from the University of Nairobi. Kenya and BVet. Med from Makerere University, Kampala. Uganda. Her research interests include issues affecting women and children, particularly, women empowerment in fast changing socio-cultural settings, evolving family relations, domestic division of labour and unpaid care work.

Dr. Mugambwa Joshua

Dr. Mugambwa Joshua holds a PhD in Public Policy from Makerere University. He has a Masters in Governance and Development, a Masters in Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management. He also has a Bachelor of Industrial and Fine Art from Makerere University. Additionally, he attended short term trainings in Cross-Cultural and Child-focused research techniques and methodologies. Mugambwa Joshua is a senior Lecturer at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Uganda, in the Department of Leadership and Governance.

Esther Temilola Ololajulo

Esther Temilola Ololajulo is a Gender Analyst with research interest in group identities, social inequalities and social inclusion.  She holds a BSc.  Psychology from the University of Ibadan, M.A in Gender Studies at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan and presently a doctoral student in Gender Studies from same University.

Dr. Ednah Masita

Dr. Ednah Masita is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Psychology and Anthropology in Moi University, Kenya. She has BA in Anthropology from University of Nairobi, MPhil in Sociology (2007) from Moi University, and a doctorate in Anthropology (2018) from Université de Pau et Des Pays de L'Adour (France). Her PhD thesis was on the Socio-cultural meaning of death from HIV/AIDS and its implications on prevention of HIV.

Dr. Babatope Adebiyi

Dr Babatope Adebiyi is a public health/early childhood development researcher with qualifications in medical, health and social sciences.  He holds a Ph.D. in Public Health. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of Children, Families and Society, the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He is interested in maternal and child health, substance abuse, early childhood development and family health. In the last two years, he has published over ten articles in high-impact international journals and presented at about ten conferences.
